We Are Changing Network Site's Domain... Pick One!

Hi everyone

We are decided to change the name of our community as we think that forexstreet.net is a terrible name.

A terrrible name because confuses users (fxstreet, forexstreet...), the .net points to the network, the .com points to FXstreet... it is not well-organized... it is a mess.

We also wanted a URL with the word forex in it, and there are no many good options left with such word in it.... so we have bought three possibilities.

Can you help us to pick one?

forexconfident.com
confidentforex.com
forexwithfriends.com

If you happen to have a better name, please share it with us... but one at a time please! :)

You only have problem with domain duplication(aliases), in this case either fxstreet.com or fxstreet.net for all sub-domains would be just fine. Btw, I am server administrator so I know what I talk about ;)

For a domain, those 3 names are just plain silly, sorry.

Comment by Romano on February 14, 2013 at 12:53pm: No, I mean that main domain should remain either fxstreet.net or fxstreet.com(and just one of it), and if u have some aliases set(admin would know what I talk about) like for example forexstreet.com then u should just delete it so that only one main domain remain without aliases and duplicates.

But I would certainly not change main domain name to any of such names as proposed. Also dont forget many of people may return after longer time just to see whats new and are not regular visitors, they will have problem to find unless again - fxstreet as *redirectional alias* remain which again defeat whole purpose of streamlining.

In any case, fxstreet is a great name, sounds professional and as a single domain would serve perfectly - either .com or .net that doesnt matter. What does really "forexconfident" for typing into browser tells u? Its a nonsense.

Comment by genxtrader on February 14, 2013 at 1:07pm: Hi Francesc, to a degree i have to agree with Romano,im not sure if i would call your idea silly but i would consider this if it were my network,i have always thought that Fxstreet.net was better than Forex Street.net,simply because it identifies the FxStreet brand and separates the .com and .net,, with both having directing links to each other one can never really confuse the two,and if someone did get confused, the links would provide navigation, i think if you were to change it too anything it would be FxStreet.net/ Forex with friends. I think it would strengthen your brand and keep traffic flowing too both sites with minimal confusion,if you change the name completely you certainly run the risk of disassociating the two when new users come too either site.
