Hi Keith - I was watching Sky News this morning and they were in Berlin and Greece interviewing politicians. professors and various economists. The Greek economist was saying their country is in a 1930's "great depression" already - and now the Greeks are not just falling out with other Europeans - mainly the Germans - but also started falling out with each other - civil unrest and arguing - which is getting out of control.

Germany cannot bail out the whole of Europe - how would you feel if you were a German - thinking your country will suffer for a decade whilst supporting another 3-10 countries etc?

The German professor and economist was confident the monies needed could be made available  for all what might be needed - but was concerned how with Spain its gone from just needing a few billion to 27 -30 billion - and then just last week 100 billion ;-)

Talk about problems  - and now they are saying France is not that strong and concerns there.

When you listen to what Nigel Farage says- you just think the European Union have created themselves a big hole - and instead of trying to get out of it - its just getting deeper.

If it was not so serious you would have to laugh and call it such a farce - unbelievable !

Hi Peter, what a messy and costly EXPERIMENT the EURO continues to be. I think Nigel Farage sums it all up in three minutes.

Hey Gissa,

Nigel Farage strikes again straight out of the gate with his no-nonsense approach. Doesn't he get the message across without using a single forking 'F' word, what a charmer ;)

" Thank you, well I begin today on a happy note, to remember, that it is twenty years ago this very week that the United Kingdom, having been signed up by the Conservative government to the exchange rate mechanism, broke out of the exchange rate mechanism.

It was a great liberation for us and of course once having been bitten we didn't join the euro project thank goodness. Sadly the same is not true for the rest of Europe and I thought through the last 18 months or so that the economic logic of why Britain left the ERM would apply particular to those Mediterranean countries and I foresaw that actually those countries would leave the eurozone, probably with Greece leaving this year.

But I now have to accept that I've been wrong about that, because I have totally underestimated the complete fanaticism, Mr Barroso of you, your college of commissioners and the European Central Bank.... "

How do you make many Bozo's cross Gissa ?  Hire Mr Farage ?

Keith ;)

ps, it's Nigel Farage not Nial, Nial is the fakey guy and there's nothing fakey about our Nigel (wink*)

Hi Keith - you have just surprised me - not with Nigel as we all know "he says it like it is"  but with your links to Nial "Fakey" Fullof in the FX Street Technical section only this week ?

Its amazing how many "great minds" think alike - hes been discussing the EJ this week and I know both Lisa and Chris discussed this pair - as I joined in ;-))

I must ask Lisa if she is still following him through the technical section - but his "fakey" was not mentioned by Lisa and Chris view of PA from their different perspectives

Also from what you are saying you spotted Chris used a similar video of Nigel but by mistake called him Nial  lol -

Like you say no word needed by our Nige - he even survived a plane crash around election time in the UK a couple of years ago and when he was filmed upside down in a crashed light aircraft he still kept his "p's and "q"s in order - lol
