I have used a indicator ultra_trend (on the bottom of the screen) and Bill Williams alligator indicator when these two tools are used together its really powerful stuff I have been testing this method for a while now of course I trade full time so I have time to try new things but this method has made really good money, I will continue to use it, don't no if anybody even cares, but I will post a picture and explain the method if anyone has questions
Comment by Peter jcp on June 12, 2012 at 10:48pm Hi Trae - yes seen this type of set up before and once you get use to reading the set up it is very good in certain market conditions. I can imagine today might have been good on the main pairs.
I scalp a lot and use a tick chart with a combinations of other time frames and parabolics and linear regressions indicators. I normally try for 5-25+ pip moves ideally under 15 minutes which normally happen a few times in the main sessions. That means you can do anything from 5-15 trades a day quite easily - but i try not to take every scalp and end up doing 50+ trades with only small targets. Stops from 3 to 8 pips depending on spread and the pair.
I am reluctant to use any oscillators on one min charts and instead incorporate them on the 15 min and 30 min time frames . However if the alligator is working well for you stay with it
Regards
Peter

Comment by Trae on June 13, 2012 at 1:40am OK this is only the 1st of a couple rules that apply here. I will go more into detail with other entries there are a few>> but 1st thing is the ultra trend indicator crosses red crosses blue to the up side we are in buying territory if it crosses over to blue to the up side obvious we are looking for shorts.I will show more soon
Comment by Trae on June 13, 2012 at 1:41am your exit will be after the indicator travels into overbought conditions which is were the line on the indicator tops out
Comment by Trae on June 13, 2012 at 2:19am Spiro,
I have been trading Forex live for years as I explained earlier my key components in trading are daily charts and price action/ ichimoku trading, I do appreciate your concern but this is stuff i like to do and share just testing and so far its doing pretty well if you trade on higher time frames im sure you can feel the boredom i have. so to help my patience I let my mind explore faster paced trading and its kinda funny to me you made the comment about the smartest traders, i clearly state I am a FULL time Trader, how do you know what firm or bank I even work for, or if im a private trader you don't! these test and trials that i run, i share for the simple fact someone here can take it and make it better or just through it away, but if it is made better hopefully they will share it with me so i can put it to work.
Comment by mohd muhanapiah bin abu bakar on June 13, 2012 at 2:43am For me, indicator or analysis is an Second Opinion. Keep it up Trea. Good job.
