Steve Vai - How To Be Successful : Inspiring Viewing

Some inspiring advice from Steve to all those who want to become successful. Steve eloquently says so many important things is a very short time. This is one of those clips you need to watch and listen to twice.

1. Identify with what you really want

2. Do not work on your weaknesses; cultivate your strengths

3. Visualize performing great in detail

4. If you become discouraged return to that big picture- your ultimate goal

5. Practice and spend time on your goal

6. Build it peace by peace, bar by bar

6. The joy is in the pursuit of accomplishing your goal

7. STICK AT IT

"The level of achievement we have in anything, is a reflection of how well we were able to focus on it. Because the only thing that's holding you back, is the way you're thinking." - Steve Vai

Have a great trading week ahead

Kind Regards

In UK Sunday Times sport section they have been interviewing Louis Saha the French football player and ex Man U forward regarding his new book - "Thinking inside the box" - (clever play on words with him being a forward working mostly in the penalty box area)

They asked him about all the other players he had worked with and one which stood out was Cristanio Ronaldo ( ex Man U and 2nd best player in world - but certainly challenging Messi).

He was amazed at the level of his commitment and the amount of time he spent doing extra training to continual improve on his existing brilliance. He had taken free kicks and dribbling skills to new levels - simply by not accepting the "norm" nor boundaries - ie discovering beyond what was already there - football innovator extraordinaire. I dont think he was the "brightest light" in the brains stake - but in the world of football intelligence - he would be up there with anyone.

I think the only difference  with his points compared to Steve's above -would be he worked both on his strenghts and also eliminated his weaknesses- knowing that his key strenghts were already a level above most players

Hard work - commitment and continually doing the tasks you are wanting perfection in will always feature in anyones success

Thanks Peter and fair comment. Good old Fergie has had some of the best raw talent play for the Red Devils.

Outstanding video!... it is really inspiring indeed in everything you do specially if you are involved in music... I've been struggling with Spanish guitar for two years and I saw myself in many of the things he said.... worth to watch

Hi keith, this is more than inspiration, this is a philosophy and training technique used by individuals who achieve at very high levels, the concept is great and motivational, but its not until one applies the techniques and experiences the results will one understand the true power of what he is saying.
