While in the islands, England reaches an agreement with Scotland to run a referendum on secession in 2014, Spain says "no" to let Catalans run the referendum using the insane reason that the constitution of the country does not allow such kind of referendums... then... change the constitution my friend! :(

Scotland and Catalonia plan referendums on secession from two of Europe’s largest economies as soon as 2014, and others may follow -- this weekend, a Flemish separatist won an election to become the mayor of Antwerp, Belgium.
