Against my better judgments, I set my trades in the wrong direction during the London open, mainly due to exceptionally loud noise concerning the Ukraine crisis. I actually expected to see gaps on the majors simply for that reason, but ignored what my eyes saw and my mind knew so I will have to recoup some loss today but the lesson I learned was invaluable… Wait and eyeball the charts because hesitation is a sign of doubt and my gut usually is the best monitor of my trades. I still see possibility to gain back most of my loss on the shorter period during consolidation. So back to work folks, keep a brilliant head about you and listen to that gut!

if you traded with your plan you did nothing wrong,  if you traded against your plan that speaks to a larger issue.  as humans there is an expectation that given a certain situation people will collectively act in a certain way.  nothing could be further from the truth. don't forget as well that your interpretation of the events, and your sense of the worlds reaction to those events, is based on how the media has presented it to you.  the depth of the truth will probably never be known to the masses.  gut feeling , or instinct , in trading is much different than true instinct in the primal sense.  gut feeling in trading is often related to an unconscious recollection of similar events, and can only be created by trading for a significant period of time.

The only time my gut feeling turns out to be correct is when I don't act on it, lol.

Hi Sandra, I haven't been on in while, but wanted to reach out to you and let you know me and my family are fine.  Far away from those tornadoes in November.  How's trading been coming along?  Don't fall for the old banana in the tail pipe trick,
