EURCHF - Back to the All-Time Lows?

After pretty much doing what we said it would last week bouncing to the 20ema and the look for sells after the price touches it, the pair sold off after retracing and rejecting off the 20ema and 50% fib of the last major down-move.

The pair did not dis-appoint as it sold off 233pips from high to low and was selling from market open with not even a wink higher…

EURCHF Bounces Strongly After a Gap Down. A Real Bottom?

For the latter part of 2011, the CHF has been beating up any currency inside the G8 and taking absolutely no prisoners.  Just look at these facts;

-All time low printed in the last month for EURCHF

-All time low printed against GBP in last 30 days

-Clocked in an all time low against the USD (well - maybe this is not that special since even the Uruguayan Peso is gaining against the USD.  When a country of barely 3+ million people has their currency appreciate 33% against the…

EURUSD up against a major support level. Is a Break Coming Soon?

After chopping around in a 700pip range for the last two months, the EURUSD has once again returned home to its lower ground at the previous low from May this year, the 1.4000 level.  It actually pierced the level last May by about 30pips and has done a small shave below it today with the massive selling the EURUSD today as it lost 240pips from high to low, closing just 30pips of the big figure.

The real question on traders minds is 'can I buy here since its held before or is it…

This is going to hurt...

NFP Came in at 18,000 jobs added for the month of June, way less than expected as some analysts were coming in at +125,000 to be added - and people get paid to predict stuff like that?

Small gains in the private sector barely outweighed govt job losses.

Unemployment gained slightly to 9.2% and is the highest level sinec Dec. 2010.  14.1million americans are actively seeking work but cannot get jobs.  And banks are complaining about a cap in ATM fees when they are posting…

Kijun Holds Latest Pullback in GBPCHF - What Next?

As we wrote about in our end of the year report back in Dec. 2010, we expected the GBPCHF to continue to see further losses and find new territory to the south side.  It has not disappointed clearing the all time lows by 1600+pips and posting 6 straight months of declines.  Yep, that's correct, 6 in a row and only gained the 1st month of the year (see chart below).…

A Great Question From One of Our Students

This was a great email post from one of our students I thought would be valuable to share for all the traders here.

He wrote;

"The last webinar, which I just watch as recording was full of interesting analysing ideas.The questions which then comes up to my mind and is one I am always thinking about: How many markets can you watch this way? I mean, every detailed analysis took a lot of time. So is it realistic to seriously trade more than 10 markets?  Or how do… Continue

Is Silver Making a New Run?

Silver has been an interesting metal as of late, with the massive sell off after the Hunt bros. failed attempt in the spring this year to corner the market, to the strange consolidation for the last two months.  After making a parabolic run to $50, the metal sold back in a jiffy to $33.55 per oz. which was the 50% fib of the major upswing from $17.50 - $50 which was the all-time high.  In a peregrine falcon dive…

Gold Threatening to Close Below the Kumo

Sorry for the lack of posts as I have been traveling internationally and now just getting back into things.

For the first time since Feb. this year, Spot Gold. vs the USD is threatening to close below the Kumo which would be quite a unique event.  On top of this, the flat bottom of the kumo is parked at the 50% fib of the $200 run from $1380 - $1577, sitting at $1479.23. This area has also held a bounce in mid May this year so expect price action to get interesting here, either giving… Continue
