After 5 consecutive dreadful quarters (Q4 2011 to Q4 2012), it seems that Q1 2013 is trying to go back on track. We all have read here that volatility and volume are progressively coming back in the Interbank market so we were wondering if that was happen in the Retail Forex market as well... If we accept FXstreet.com main site (English) traffic data as an appropriated indicator of the health of the Retail FX, then we can say that we have inputs of back to business as usual…Continue

We definitely have a proportional inverse relationship here between market volatility and time on site at FXstreet.com.... the more volatility and activity in the market, the less time on site and the less the market moves the more traders spend on the site... as we are now in a period of very low volatility, time on site does not stop to grow.
Last 2 weeks the site jumped for the first time ever above 9 minutes in weekly basis and has remained there, while in daily…Continue

FXstreet's main competitor is re-branding to investing.com... uhmmm, I am not sure if I should start applying for a job or to be happy.... let's see.
For many years ForexPros was a copycat of FXstreet.com. The sites were so alike that they seemed like twins. As a pure FX portal, they had a huge problem that was FXstreet.com.
Then they took their own way moving away from pure FX. The tipping point for the move was to incorporate real-time stocks prices through CFDs from an…Continue

On the positive front, no doubt that the amazing star of the month has been FXstreet's Social Site www.forexstreet.net that gained a very nice…Continue

FXstreet Network of sites recovered the 9M level in October after loosing it in September, but remained pretty far from levels seen the previous year, specially in our biggest web site the FXstreet.com in English.
On the positive front, the network of sites recovered ground from September (+6%) that was a surprisingly bad month. In here, I must highlight the outstanding performance of the Indonesian web site (+17%) once again. Also, worth to highlight the growth…Continue

It seems that even though the lack of volatility and volume that it is drawing away visitors from information sites like FXstreet.com and many more out there, we at least can be today very happy to see that the engagement of our visitors with the site keeps growing without a stop.
Last week the average time on site of FXstreet.com (English) touched a new all-time high of 8 minutes and 26 seconds, one…Continue

I will descrive you a bit this afternoon at the ITC.
Ed Ponsi started the afternoon talking about the future of the dollar and FED's legitimacy while throwing questions to the audience like "Who is more powerful, US president or the Fed's Chairman?".
After 1 hour of reflections, Ron William took the stage and instructed the audience about market timing using canddle pattern strategies in volatile markets. A key moment of the speech was when he asked the…

This morning, Steve Ward, professional performance and psychology coach, did his key note speech: "Trading with the brain in mind".
Talking about emotions and fears, at the beginning of his presentation, Steve did a test with a volunteer in the audience! Joao, one of the attendee, went in front of the crowd while a graph measuring his heartbeat was being shown to the audience. Then at one point, something happened and his heartbeat immediately increased... check…

Recently we've been very busy here at FXstreet headquarters, covering issues with European leaders who try to fix the crisis, hackers attacking our website and working on new improvements to our tools. But all of that comes to an end, and all is good now. Well, except for Europe which continues to stumble!
As you can see today, we have made some tweaks to the page header and to the general look and feel of the site. Not to worry though, everything should be right where you remember it…Continue
