Weekly Price Action Highlights | Nov. 18th - 23rd

EURUSDAttempting to bottom and make some headway to the upside, the EURUSD failed to clear the 1.2800 role reversal level which was the Oct. swing lows. For now, the pair is stuck between 1.2800 weekly highs and 1.2659 lows which was the pin bar rejection on Tuesday.  So bears can look to sell any weak rallies up to 1.2800 while bulls can look for intraday price action triggers…See More

Hi Chris,

On average how long would you say it will take an average person to become consistently profitable if they follow say, some of the systems in the PA course with discipline. And is it realistic to expect to end every week profitably if one only trades 4hr and daily timeframes?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

When you test systems, what is more important, the amount of time or the number of trades? And how many trades is good enough as a test?

At 4:46pm on May 17, 2012, 2ndSkiesForex said…

Hello Raj,

Both are equally important but obviously depends upon the frequency the system trades.  Regardless, I'd want nothing less than 3yrs of testing for any system before using it on a live forward test.  But there is no set amount of trades as each system has different trading frequencies.  Ideally the min would be about 500+ on the low end and several thousand on the upper end.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards,
Chris
