Hello Trae,

Some interesting thoughts you share so thank you for giving some details.

A well known price action specialist? from my experience, inside bars, pin bars and hikkake's are nothing special. In fact most know about them, and alot of the information shared above can be found for free.

Nobody was mentioning making a living off of teaching these free methods, so not sure why you mentioned it as all my comments were about the specific setups you discussed. I.e. talking about the breakouts, inside bars and inverted pin bars.

Btw, in regards to inside bars, what broker server time do you work with because our testing has noticed how some server times (e.g. Gmt, euro, ny, etc) have much different performance for inside bars on the daily charts. Some time frames for the same pair work well, while others are a disaster and fail miserably.

Have you accounted for this in your testing?

In terms of your charts being different from mine, of course they will be. Nt sure why you mentioned this as nobody was comparing charts. Was just asking about what emas you use, but i dont expect ones charts to be the same across the board.

Asheville is a good area. I have a trader friend not too far from there in Mill Springs who grew up in asheville. He's a private desk trader. If your ever interested in meeting another trader, let me know as he trades price action as well.

Btw, i see you trade ichimoku as well. Any favorite ichimoku methods you use?

Kind regards,
Chris

LOL your right they are simple and easy to find on the web its applying them that's takes a little time to discover I trade many different methods I trade every day I just stick with price action on my daily charts its simple clean and easy and it works and with my money management I feel very confident with a set risk on every trade, I even scalp the market and am currently working on a a pretty cool method for this that works for me. I really did not mean that post to come off defensive as I do respect all traders, especially those who trade price action we all see it different, and call it something a little different, I am very familiar with mills springs, I have family near there, that is really cool I would love to meet up with him and talk, sometime. here i thought i was the only one within a 1000 mile radius that even knew what Forex was..LOL I do trade ichimoku very often I have some pictures posted on my theory, it is also simple, the reason I asked about your charts being different is most traders it seems are are NY charts, its hard for them to read and compare there charts to yours if they cant see the same thing, I have accounted for this and find that NY works good for me.. again this is just stuff that I have traded and wanted to share it maybe someone can learn from this, that's it. I feel I have been blessed in my trading and just want share what I did and why I did it.

Hello trae,

There is actually a few traders, not all fx, that are in the nc area around you, some from raliegh, one of them is an mba student at duke, quite a few.

Intersting how you trade dailies, yet are working on a scalping method. How are you finding the adjustment going from the daily to 1min as i can imagine that would be an adjustment.

In regards to ichimoku, yes, i noticed some of your charts which were quite interesting. Any what would you say are your favorite methods to trade ichimoku with?

As to ny charts, its interesting you mention this time frame as the ny cloe actually was one of the worst testing time frames, particularly for inside bars. For gmt and euro close,we found anywhere from 8-15 pairs that tested well on this method, but for ny close, only 3 on the daily time frame!!!
Quite shocking to say the least.

Shows how it helps to have some data on these methods.

Anyways, if you have a fb profile, feel free to join mine (2ndskiesforex), as id love to talk ichimoku shop with you and share some ideas back and forth.

Kind regards,
Chris

trading daily charts gets boring for me, some charts like eur/us I have only had 3 set ups this year so, I keep a journal of daily activity and work on scalping with my time awaiting these setups, also i trade ichimoku as I am still discovering way to trade this I am not a master of this but am studying it very much and trading it winning and loosing, IF YOU CAN TRADE THE 1MIN CHART AND BE SUCCESSFUL YOU ARE A MASTER TRADER, because it is fast and it is hard this time frame will eat you alive but i enjoy the challenge daily times are so easy to sit and study, the 1 min will test your skills and edge, I like this. hope this helps.

Hola Trae,

In terms of ichimoku, it seems you have some decent knowledge of this as the charts you posted are not beginners by any means and showed some definite knowledge of ichimoku trading.

Which of the typical ichimoku methods do you like trading the most just out of curiosity?

Also, what sources have you used to study ichimoku?

Feel free to in private share your fb page as my trader friends dont like giving out their email, but they are ok with fb. let me know in private so i can pass it on to them and they can get in touch with you.

Kind regards,
Chris

Hola janos,

What did you mean by the quote 'oops' in regards to the 1min time frame trading?

Search for chris capre or 2ndskiesforex on facebook
Both are easy to find

What sources did you learn ichimoku from as you definitely have some skill and precision in using it?

Along those lines, do you not know the ichimoku names of the methods you are using because they are standard ichimoku names?

Just curious

Kind regards
Chris

I guess you would call it a version of cloud study but with my own interpretation of this, I have studied people such as chaos trader who is a member here if you are friends with him look at his videos this is the same type of study I use except i incorporate last highest highs and highest lows as major breaking points in the market I also pay close attention to the tenkan line fore my exit signals as well as I watch the chikou span and were it is in regards to price all this you know though I study different by how price is compared to its last high verses low and were it breaks at this point I determine if its a good trade does break a major support or resistance as it comes threw or is it far enough to make a decent run before rejection? I am having trouble with my exits though any advice with this???

Hola trae,

Did you find me on fb?

Let me know so i can pm you some information.

In regards to using the chikou, how do you use it as i havent seen it on any of your ichimoku charts?

Is chaostrader the only one you studied for ichimoku or anyone else? Just curious.

You mentioned using the tenkan as your exit signal for your entries. How are you using it currently so i have a rough idea to make some suggestions?

Kind regards,
Chris
