Correct, this picture represents the Goddess Kali, or in Tibetan Culture - Troma.

As to the description, this would be considered an 'outer' explanation or understanding of Kali, which, im assuming you got off the internet or some book.

To really understand the 'inner' or 'secret' meaning would require meditation, mantra and puja practice, ideally to kali or troma.

As to the 'hindu culture' this would be an inaccurate description, as its part of indian culture. The word 'hindu' was given by westerners to the religions of india, and if im not mistaken, the british.

So its not really a 'part of hindu philosophy and culture' but the indian religion and practice of yoga, from the vedas and various tantras written eons ago.

As to the severed head, these are symbolic representations of egos being purified or transformed through coming in contact with the Kali energy. And 'destroying' would be an outer understanding of it.

An outer description would be destroying or purifying, an inner understanding would be that of transformation, and the 'secret' understanding would be clear recognition or instantaneous self-perfected and liberated awareness.

Immediately after reading your explanation -  I tried to relate it to today's World.

Two words came to my mind - 

Lance Armstrong ;-)

I am seeing a vision requiring the paramedics  - two accidents awaiting to happen in London area - Gissa shot at by an American woman on a quad bike  - and Keith glassed in a bloodletting incident in a local bar ;-)))

Wow, metaphors, allegory and spiritual enlightenment, all on a forex website. i don't know wether my brain is half full or half empty.

The great thing about any of the great ancient religious or spiritual texts is that they are generally quite ambiguious, combine that with the long passage of time, ( they are normally pretty ancient), means that there has generallybeen a lot of discussion, with people able to bend and fit texts to suit thier  own personal ideologies, now there is no longer any one right answer and various passages of text can mean different things to different people, after all you can no longer ask the author what they meant.

Just put a protestant and a catholic in a room and ask them to discuss the scriptures and see how harmonious the discussion is. If you add in a baptist a lutheran and a russian orthodox person and see how much they agree. Maybe an amish and a mormon too?

No one can tell another what is the 'real inner truth' because that is personal and may not be the same for another. recognising that fact is part of the journey to finding any truth.

So now lets see if we can get a scalper, a trend trader an elliot waver a fundamentalist etc into a room and see if we can can get a conclusive answer on where the Eur/usd is going.

Hi indy - yes I reckon if you got a scalper -trend trader - EWaver and a fundamentalist in a room to comment on the EU - the only point they would agree on - is that it would move - but were too and for how long - that would not be agreed ;-)

Like the video Holmes -  part of that can be linked to so many people we know - and even linked to  blood letting Lance Armstrong

Can Lance Armstrong walk on water ? Is he a "god" or does his ego tell him he is just above all this and everybody else is wrong ;-)

From what I have read - he certainly did a lot of "bloodletting" to improve his performance  - and was the cancer his punishment  and he saw the light ? - the good the bad and the evil

With regards to ancient history - its about as reliable as Politicians of today.

Every time its passed forward - the bias and the slants and the untruths are added and by the time we read it centuries later - its just nothing like it started out as ;-)

We then all interpret it differently - just like in religion.
