Hi group members!

When this group was initiated less than 2 months ago, I decided to make it a discussion group instead of a blog. The reason was that I wanted to make it open to everyone to feel free to launch discussions about their experiences, thoughts or raising up any issues.

Up 'til now there have been an increasing number of replies, but no one has initiated a discussion. Anyone giving the first step? I know there are seasoned members in the group!

Zulutrade ranking has been getting better over the last months: All systems that appear high in the ranking are not to be trusted, but at least almost all systems that deserve attention are high in the ranking. This allows us to give a quick glance more often just to the first places for some novelty (...although we also have the advanced filters to dive deeper in the ranking)

Hi FXBANDIT.

You mean "Zulutrade charging an extra 2 pips above quotable prices on signal provider accounts?" - referring to signal providers using AAAFX accounts ?

I too have noticed that they were always adding AT LEAST 0.2 pips to every quote. Even if the price wouldn't move from the quote until execution, I would still have a 0.2 pips discrepancy. Even if after the execution the price quote is still at the same.

2 pips sounds extreme. I am not active as a signal provider anymore. But I too have notice that with they AAAFX they are trying to modify it actively (aka. manipulating) so as to make sure that the slippage for AAAFX account customer can appears among the least on the chart.

Obviously to creat a low slippage on the customer side, one way is to "creat slippage" for signal providers.

I never like it if fair practice is exchanged for manipulative practice...So I think people should always share such negative experiences, without exaggerating and trying to make bad press.

But it malpractices should be voiced out.

well their main is concern that they look good. haha. everything comes at a cost of course..... They probably think if your performance is good enough the "2 pips" or whatever the discreapancy is won't hurt you.

But just look at it. If you as a signal provider buy when quote is at 1.4400 get filled at 1.4402 and everyone else (your followers etc.), (if using the same broker as you) gets filled at 1.4400 or even if 1.4401, then there will be no slippage bad slippage for the customers. which makes THEM look good ;-)

Hi,

what you are describing seems to be true. even though your screen prints don't help much.

As you can notice the time is different wherever it appears.

however I tried just now what you did.

I noticed the following:

1) What you say is true. I made screen prints for 2 trades and even though the discrepency I found was not 2 pips I found that the quoted price and the price of execution was disadvantaged by over 1 pips in my case. The price was executed as a quote to which the price quote didn't even move.

2) you will notice that there is another discrepancy concerning the time.

Their time displays don't seem to be syncronized which is extremely unprofessional.

I made a screen print in the exact moment I pressed the "ok" on a sell order in the signal provider account I used to send a signal from the ZuluTrade platform. Just like you.

The time displayed in the quote section is over 2 minutes later than the executed time.

I have then checked and compared the "updated time" display in the quote section with my computer's time (accurately automatically synchronized via internet) . And indeed you can find that the time display in the quote section is 2 minutes early.

As I am writing this, it is 11:02 pm in Germany, yet the quote section/trade section in my signal providing account now shows 11:04pm .

The time display in the "positions tab" is the same ... it is also constantly updating, but the time displayed is 2 minutes early.

So whenever you make a screen print you have to make a reference to the actual correct time, otherwise it looks as though your screen prints don't match.

cheers

ZuluTrade posted new updates – live accounts are getting daily reports; providers are analyzed deeper with three new performance indications – weekly best/worst trade; ranking history chart and max open trades, pretty cool new features!

I am not all that happy with zulutrades ranking system and I am starting to think its being manipulated by HUMAN elements for reasons unknown. Let me show you some statistics on a comparison of providers.. Note how Sun Tzu {FX} is not ranked with them even if most of his stats are better over all Sun Tzu's stats are better such as #1 statistic the pip count per trade which i was told is given the greatest weight on zulutrade. So why is this provider not ranked as high.. Smells like dirty pool to me...
