"Sir,
It is not unusual that a bankruptcy's liquidation lasts years. All claims in CROWN FOREX SA's bankruptcy are currently being handled and under review. As you can imagine, due to the number of claims, this process takes a lot of time. We will revert to you in case we need more information or documents and when the claims' examination will be finished and a decision will be taken on all claims. No decision will be rendered on a particular claim before the other claims. Decision on all claims will be hence rendered in the same time. In any case, at this stage we do not expect payment from the bankruptcy estate before several months. For all other relevant information, please consult the web site www.crownforex.info. In case of no update, it means that no further relevant information can be disclosed on the case.
Sincerely,
Laurent WINKELMANN

Permalink Reply by john deere on November 5, 2011 at 3:16pm Sir,
Thank you for that update, perhaps posting that on the crownforex.info website would be a step in the right direction for those of us who feel abandoned by you.
My question is, why does this take YEARS with the Swiss Govt regulators handling this matter yet in U.S., much bigger banks are taken over in two DAYS (usually over a weekend without any disruptions of customer funds?
They do this first by separating the failed bank in two different sectors, a good bank
and a bad bank. The GOOD bank contains all the customer accounts (the customers
have done no wrong, and should not be punished, like you are doing to us). The BAD
bank contains the problems of the bank, investments, loans, etc. Whatever they have
done wrong or illegal, we have not even been informed of the reason you bankrupted
them.
The BAD bank stuff could take some time to unwind due to law suits, etc. Things you
lawyers make your living off of. I am not saying being a lawyer is right or wrong, or good
or bad.
I am, however, saying that you people seizing our accounts, and no reason being given to us is very VERY WRONG; and, your attitude that "we are not entitled" to more of an explanation cannot possibly be good for Swiss Banking's already tainted reputation.
May I suggest you at least send everyone, who has submitted a claim, some kind of
note indicating that you did receive our information? This would be a wonderful gesture
on your part, plus do a lot to save your reputation as a safe financial center.
Also, MF Global goes bankrupt, and one day later the entire world knows what crimes
they commited, plus the regulators immediately go to work to protect the customers
money, as the customers did no wrong. Does this sound familiar to you?
This is why I think we are being treated unfairly.

Permalink Reply by Francesc Riverola on April 15, 2013 at 9:10am that is strange indeed... but it does not surprise me. A couple of months ago we contacted Mr. Winkelmann to get an update of the situation and for our surprise, Mr. Winkelmann told us that our claim was not processed so we were not in the pool of claimers.... we got an e-mail from the very same gentleman back in 2009 confirming that our claim had been processed.... amazing!
