Anybody know of a pen/drawing tool for MT4? I saw one called easypen but can't find it and then I read it was for MT5?
Like just to explain - I want to draw freehand on charts - pen tool, line tool, text tool...
Anybody?

Permalink Reply by Peter jcp on June 11, 2012 at 2:32pm Hi Gill - I am not that good on the MT4 charts set up - but i do use one from Alpari in my charts "wardrobe" purely to keep an eye on some custom built EA's I use.
I managed to get my particular EA coded 4 yrs ago from some guy who was always on the James 16 thread and seemed a guy who had a large library of all different "apps" for the MT4 platform. Unfortunately I cannot find his e-mail address nor name - but if you scroll though MT4 chat line sites etc or James 16 group I am sure you will find someone who can assist you and supply what you need as a free download. regards Peter

Permalink Reply by Keith Shaw on June 12, 2012 at 6:00am Hi Gill,
On your MT4 tool bar you have a number of tools available to you to help you draw, you have tools for lines, text, circles, squares, etc.... these tools are all part of the MT4 Platform.
If you want to draw anything else on your charts that's not inherent in the MT4 platform i.e. you want to draw 'free hand' then the only way as far as I am aware is to use a screen capture type tool as both Lisa and Janos have mentioned. If things get desparate ((and i am worried they do for you ( i.e. baby in washing machnine)) you could get a semi permanent marker and draw directly on to your monitor. ;-)
The James16 thread that Peter mentions is something totally different, nonetheless it's an interesting old thread, that's been read by many a trader and forex guru.
Regards
Keith.

I will have another mess with it today - while meggie is in the wash... i mean after she has her bath (hehe)
